Basic Guard covers four assemblies in the event of mechanical failure beyond the warranty period, even if it results from wear and tear *Wear and Tear Coverage: The applicable coverage in the event an orginal or like replacement part is unable to function in normal service.. With Basic Guard, there are no unexpected financial surprises for covered parts and labor expenses. If repairs are necessary, they can be taken care of conveniently through any of more than 7,000 GM Dealerships across the United States and Canada. When you're on the road with Basic Guard, you've got security and peace of mind for the life of your vehicle service contract.



	Parts and Labor Costs
	Specific components within four major assemblies on your vehicle are covered for parts and labor repair costs caused by mechanical failure even if it results from wear and tear *Wear and Tear Coverage: The applicable coverage in the event an orginal or like replacement part is unable to function in normal service.. That includes parts and labor on:

	Engine — Gasoline / Diesel
	Cylinder block, heads, and all lubricated internal engine parts Manifolds Timing gears, timing gear chain/belt and cover Flywheel Oil pump/ oil pump housing Seals and gaskets Water pump Harmonic balancer Valve covers	Oil pan Engine mounts Turbocharger/ supercharger housings, internal parts, valves, seals and gaskets Crankshaft bearings Valve train Crankshaft seals - front and rear Camshaft bearings Connecting rods and bearings

If a vehicle is out-of-warranty when it is purchased, Basic Guard can only be obtained at the time of vehicle purchase. You can even include Basic Guard as part of your monthly payment. Repair paperwork is gone too, because everything is taken care of by your GM Dealer. You may also enhance your vehicle's value, because if you sell your vehicle, Basic Guard can be transferred to the new owner for a small administrative fee.
